They're on crack, lol. It covers all 2025 4Runners regardless of VIN. To be fair, the guy at the service dept said they were waiting on an official TSB and didn't see that it was out -so maybe they just didn't know and were covering.Mine only squeals in reverse when the vehicle is cold. Called my closest dealer and was told my VIN was not listed for the TSB repair. Huh? I didn't want to leave my daily drive there for a couple days for them to figure it out.
Common enough that there’s a TSB. I’m sure thousands of vehiclesI haven’t noticed this, any idea how common it is?
dude mine told me I had to leave the car there for a couple of days so they can recreate the noise. If it doesn’t make the noise for them they won’t repair it.Mine only squeals in reverse when the vehicle is cold. Called my closest dealer and was told my VIN was not listed for the TSB repair. Huh? Mine was on qc hold started squealing after 2 weeksCurious to see if anyone that had their 4Runner on the QC holds has had the break squeal issue? its only been about a month but I wonder if they worked on this issue as well as the chin spoiler. Mine was on the hold and no issues so far but I only have 1200 miles
Did you drop off your truck at the dealer and have them recreate the noise or you have it on video and show it to them? or just tell them you have it without the proof and they will replace it because of the TSB?Just got the TSB done, squeal is gone, bedded in the brakes a bit on the drive home, luckily my dealer had the parts on hand and got it done next day![]()
I’ll say in my case since I was already there, they just had one of the techs put it in reverse. I gave them the TSB number and it was as simple as that.Did you drop off your truck at the dealer and have them recreate the noise or you have it on video and show it to them? or just tell them you have it without the proof and they will replace it because of the TSB?
