When you want an Escalade and get a real 4WD instead..... This is right along the lines of the "Torque News" articles that always bash 4Runners. Media is so corrupt in general these days
I own an Escalade which is my wife's ride. We call it the "glider". It's comfortable and fancy but I prefer my Runner all the way!

The 4Runner is a truck, it is not a unibody SUV and will not be as plush. It has higher ground clearance, it will be a bigger step into. It does not have great gas milage. If these are the things that matter to you don't buy one. Bitching about things that don't fit what you want is really just........
well being a little bitch. Go buy a mini van.

There is so much 4runner hate out there. The people who write these comments probably have never been in 4runner, be it 1st gen, 4th gen etc. To call it junk and it will never last drives me nuts. I don't comment on car that I've never driven or owned. The 6th Gen isn't perfect but what car is?

Absolute BS about the 6'4" driver...how do I know? 'Cause I am a 6'4" driver, not once have I "planted my head on the headliner"....give me a break. I think the 6'4" driver got in after the 5'5" driver and neglected to adjust the seat! I am super comfortable and have plenty of room in my 6G Trailhunter...
Odd, I am 6'6" and never once hit my head either. We must be doing something wrong. /S

This is why reviews from the smooth-brained out there are nothing but attention getting nonsense and I never pay attention. I see the general public on the roads every day, and believe me, their opinion is not worth my time.

I own a 2025 Grand Cherokee Limited in addition to my 2026 SR5. The Grand Cherokee had a higher msrp, but both vehicles ended up being about exactly the same out the door based on dealer discount on the GC. With that being said, yes the GC has a ton more interior/comfort options than the SR5, but the tradeoff is obviously capability. They are two very different vehicles intended to serve two very different purposes in my opinion. The customer base between a GC and a 4runner has begun to unintentionally overlap due to the GC being a "Jeep." Equivalent vehicle prices should not be the sole category when comparing vehicles that are clearly very different.

6'3" 260 pounds and the same. Feels like six inches between my head and the headliner. The key, no moonroof, for one. It depends on how you adjust the seat, your proportions, etc. A review should mention it, for sure. Concluding the seats are crap, the seating position is crap, you either can't see over the hood or will be crammed into the roof is just dumb.
