Same. Got them last week and installed a few minutes. Oddly, won't be driving the 4Runner until camping for 4th of July. Worst part is I'll be driving the truck/camper and she'll be driving the 4Runner...and she didn't even notice the air sound before. Hope it helps either way.

I just installed the rear door oem tacoma ones like you did, took about 10 minutes. I also have the front door weatherstrip, the 4 push pins are removable so taping it in place should show where the holes need to be drilled. I will play with it this weekend.

How'd you go about removing the weather stripping on the bottom of the window, i saw you needed to remove that to install the oem tacoma one?

I just used a plastic pry tool to gently pop the end out toward me, I didn't have to take the entire thing off. Then once the clip is in you pop it back in with some force.

I did in fact install the front door Tacoma ones. The process sucked but I got it done in the end, and it fits.

I don't recommend anyone else try this as drilling into your doors is dangerous as the drill bit can slip forward and dent the exterior door panel (less than one inch air gaps in the door). After drilling I painted the exposed metal. Also the four bumps on the door where the trim goes are more of suggestions, its just so hard to line up correctly. And finally, I don't notice any wind noise reduction. However I have fully sound deadened my doors, so it could be different for you.
