Does your 4Runner have a transmission thermostat?

[IRFAN0922]

It would be amazing if I could get a few users to reply to this with their 6th gen 4runner model year and packages. And whether or not their truck has a transmission thermostat or not. This PDF outlines the 3 equipment types these 4runners can come with. My question is which models come with what parts?

My 2026 TRD ORP comes with the bottom option, "model with oil cooler assembly" and it doesn't have a thermostat.

if this PDF is correct , which is correct , after when I track the lines , so the engine Radiator sharing the cooler , and its not a good design , because it may get leak in few years because jeep has the same drama and its share with AC condenser .

I wondered the same thing, my 25 ORP does not have the transmission mounted tsat and also never had any over heating issues that the tacos seem to have. Even while towing constantly
