I am really confused by this thread. What does “transmission thermostat” mean?
I know that on the Jeep, the transmission cooling lines go to the A/C condenser. Half of that condenser (the radiator-type cooler) is used for the A/C, and the other half is used for transmission cooling.
For heavy towing, Jeep offers different fan options—one standard fan and a faster fan for the towing package.
I’m not sure about the SR5, but I believe it works similarly here. The radiator/A/C/turbo cooling system may be sharing the cooling capacity, with part of it being used for transmission fluid cooling.
I tracked the lines coming out of Transmission and going to front.
