We just bought a 2025 Limited 4Runner. Watching a review The Car Care Guy on YouTube did on same vehicle he showed a round removable flashlight (driver side) that is accessed once the door is opened. I found the spot for it and only a plastic cover where it belongs. Do we have a different Limited trim level or maybe dealership forgot to install it?
Thanks and please let me know if your Limited 4Runner came with it

Depending on where you are the car may have port packages/options/accessories.

So is the dealership picking the options?
Yes and no. Some are factory. Some are Port Installed and some are installed at the Dealership. What you’re talking about you want you can contact Toyota and buy it.

FIO options can only be installed at the factory

PIO most are installed at the port of entry (portland, newark, jax)

some PIO can be installed at the dealer, but it will cost about 25%-50% or greater (depends on the dealer, i have seen some do a 100% markup) more than if you had it installed at the port.

just getting the parts is going to be 25%-50% markup and thats not even the labor cost to have it installed.

ie: the oem cost for the auto running boards is like just under $1100, but to purchase the hardware after the fact is going to cost around $1500 not including labor. heck you cant even buy aftermarket for cheaper thats not including the labor.

labor will run between $$100-300-$500 depending on where you go (dealer or independent)

forgot to add, toyota has an inherent 10-25% markup on msrp for pio items.

adjust from there, you can find a thread on here somewhere where there is an invoice price vs msrp price for most pio items for 2025 MY vehicles.

If you're still considering, I believe the part number is PT944-35251. MSRP $130, but most dealers will give a discount from that when you buy direct.

Wasn't included in mine either. 1st new car, 1st Toyota, and while I'm, thus far/overall, happy with it, I have zero good things to say about the dealership where I purchased from!

It is well over $100 that runs on regular batteries not even rechargeable. It is rather useless. You are better off without it. Buy the wife a decent rechargeable flashlight, save $80 and take her out to dinner.

Lowes has these for $11 and the fit perfectly. I put a little piece of foam on the bottom to keep it from rattling when hitting bumps. In the safety section. Not rechargeable but its $11.

EDIT: Never mind I see someone above has a 3 pack of rechargeable ones for $20. Get those!
