Did anyone’s 4Runner come standard with the “secret” flashlight lantern in dash cubby hole?

My ORP did ot come with it, as others have said I think it is optional on that trim at least. I would never pay the ridiculous price they want for theirs--I can get <$10 flashlights that are probably better. I have not thought of something to put in that space though (I always have a tiny flashlight in my pocket, so don't really need one there).

Mine didn’t but mine did come with the Toyota side storage without the light. I think it was like a $60 option or something.

Definitely not in my TRD Pro.

I put the multi-tool in there because apparently I didn't have enough already! The lantern was a little too spendy more me but pretty cool.

Mine came with it and they included a ton of extras as well that normally I don’t get (trunk organizer, first aid kit, cooler, paint touch up, probably missing some things)… I got my Trailhunter in May.

All of the container / pod accessories are port installed items or you can pick them up from your local Toyota Parts Dept. My PRO came with the flashlight but our TRDORP did come with one. The Flashlight in the PRO was listed on the window sticker as a charge. I ordered one for the ORP and had forgotten about them until I noticed this thread last week. You could definitely purchase another light for less money but I do like that it's built in and not rolling or rattling about the vehicle and it's located at the exit of the driver's position. It's not a must have but could be useful if you're out after dark a lot or travel rural areas.

Just curious — did anyone’s vehicle come standard with the “secret” flashlight? When I took delivery of my Trailhunter back in July, one of the first things I did was to unscrew the round compartment on the drivers side dash, but no dice — just an empty compartment. I’m sure it’s an accessory you can buy at an outrageous price, but I just wanted to know if anyone got one included with their vehicle at delivery …

My TRD Pro neither came with it, so I purchased the lantern but it did not fit… it’s smaller that the compartment, anyone know if there are two sizes for the lantern?

It looks oddly specific. Like "here's a brush to clean the tops of Coke cans" or "shoe polisher, but only just the tip".

Not only a secret compartment with a secret brush but secret code stamped on the cover.
My guess is Morse Code. Maybe a ham operator is out there somewhere to help out.
I have seen a bunch of interpretations but none from an amateur radio operator.

Bastards! Mine TH didn't come with one and I had to point out to the dealer guy that the Bluetooth speaker wasn't installed. I didn't know the lantern was a thing until I saw it on a YouTube video. I keep a LED hazard beacon in that compartment though.
