I was a bit surprised that the new 4Runner used Cutting Edge Silver instead of the Celestial Silver, so just wondering if it looks good on day to day usage or shows dirt very easily?

To me it seems slightly darker silver than the Tacoma Celestial Silver and almost like a light grey. I had a car in the past that was a gray color that always required cleaning to look nice so a bit paranoid after that experience.

I agree with Marty60, my new Cutting Edge seems to hide dirt really well. I haven't washed it in the 6 weeks I've had it :)

We just got back from a 2500mi road trip to backwoods Tennessee and Mississippi in our Cutting Edge SR5.
That color tends to hide dirt well and still looks pretty good with a coating of Mississippi mud. Probably the best color choice given your concerns.

I guess that Mudbath would technically be the color to show dirt the least. But, that one is available on the higher trims only. Otherwise, it would be Cutting Edge. And, its more of a classic color.

1L0 color code has been used on other toyota vehicles in the last 6 yrs i think besides the 4R

its been called other things like Prata Argentum and just plain Silver Metallic

the classic silver from the 5th gen had 1F7 as the color code so they are not exactly the same.

from what i remember, the whites start with 0, silvers start with 1, blacks start with 2, reds start with 3, etc

so the first digit is the base color, then you get the different shades fromt here for the other 2 codes.
