Very happy with the ValvoMax drain plug! The easiest and cleanest oil change I’ve ever done hands-down. You can even push and pull on the plastic oil bag to create a vacuum and pull residual oil out of the pan. No more waiting a lifetime for the last drip (no drain plug).

Also, the cut oil container screws into place nice and snug for a solid no BS funnel.

I went with this one bc the thread length is supposedly just right so it doesn't block oil from coming out, and the stainless steel cap that screws on feels more secure than a lever.

You can get 20% your first order

Was the oil color very dark (at my first 626 miles it looked like tar) . What did the 2K look like? I'll change again at 1500. Did not do filter at 626 but will change at 1500. 0W-20 till I see what the Oil Geek does.

The color was like black coffee. The photo, at least on my monitor, is accurate. I recall someone saying turbos heat up the oil darker than non turbo engines... but I am glad I changed the oil at 2k mi. It doesn't cost that much and I sleep better at night haha. I have been doing a harder break in by driving it mid throttle often going 4k and sometimes 5k RPMs, and down shifting (engine breaking) down to 2-2.5K.

I agree, the valvomax is great. I love that there are 2 layers of protection from leakage; the ball valve and the sealed cap.
Right! I also like that it's stainless steel, but what really helped was the thread length claim.

I can't get the Valvomax to seal on the oil pan ( 2026 ). Was there a different washer tha you used? I'm in the process of requesting a RMA and really want to make this work. Thans Jon

That's odd. I used what came in the package. I made sure to clean the surface well before installing. I removed the rubber leash and cap so that I could get a socket on and torque it properly, and then put it back on.

Never used one of these. Do you have to replace the washer on thses? Any maintenence after initial install?
What's the longevity on these? Can you run these for a decade+ without doing anything?

it's a one time install. you don't remove it for oil changes, just attach the drain hose adapter and the oil comes out. No maintenance aside from wiping off any oil drops after removing the drain hose. You can leave them on for decades. The fumoto valve is also an option, and has very similar characteristics, though different design. Both are great for mess free oci's
