Mine has a 04/26 build date per the sticker on the door (I could have sworn it was 05/26). Yes, I can change the ding w/ Carista.

FWIW, I recall that Toyota issued a revised Owner's Manual in June 2026...not sure if that has anything to do with anything, but maybe if we find June 26 to be the cut-off date

i wonder if i should start a new post to track those that have carista and was able to modify or not the seat buzzer

and track the table of people that are yes/no instead of having the table stuck on page 4 of this thread.

so from what i have gathered, builds before july-2026 dont have the seat buzzer option in carista

mine was july 2026 but the june 2026 person has the seat buzzer option and nov-2025 has it also

can you reply of what MY your window sticker says and the build date on the door stamp ???

dealer might turn them off for a hour of labor cost. but the problem you might run into is liability issues with turning them off.


if its any consolation it seems anything after 7-2026 you cant turn off the seat buzzer so far

MY 2026, Build date: 8/26, Seat Buzzer: No

well so far the data points to anything after june-2026 build date, carista cannot change the seat buzzers

carista had a play store update last night. looks like they only added batter health from what i can tell to hybrid and ev's

if my sub is still active will try to see if the seat buzzer option is working on the 26 4runner when i get off work after 5pm

I bought mine in January of this year and I was able to turn off my seat belt dings Via Carista. It’s still off to this day.

I don’t believe you need an active subscription to view the available options. After my subscription expired, I was able to navigate through the menus to explore the content. All options are grayed out until you subscribe.

My Limited has a 5/26 build date and I picked it up on June 24th and Carista allowed me to turn off the seat belt dings.
