I've had the driver's side interior panel from Cali Raised for a few months and have been happy with it, so I decided to add on the passenger side and overhead tray. Cali Raised initially sent me a second driver's side panel by mistake, but quickly shipped out the correct one when I emailed them and also provided a prepaid return label for the duplicate panel. No complaints with their customer service.

No instructions are provided, but they do have a well made install video on youtube and everything is pretty straightforward. No drilling or other modifications required other than popping out a few small panels and screws. The overhead tray was a bit of a bitch to install solo -- it will sit on its own when you get the tabs properly lined up between the two side panels, but there's little margin for error and just a little wiggle is enough to knock it off. Once you get a couple screws started though it'll lock into place pretty easily. I highly recommend using a drill with a hex bit rather than trying to do all of them by hand with a hex wrench while trying to hold the heavy things in the place with your other hand. The whole thing doesn't really take up all that much space, and the overhead tray doesn't block your rear view much, if at all. Looking back at it from the driver's seat though, it does all look pretty beefy, like there's a lot going on back there. Doesn't bother me at all given the added functionality which is why I got them in the first place, but if you're claustrophobic or concerned that the "cozy vibes" of your interior will be affected by by large hunks of metal (like my wife, ha) maybe skip the overhead tray.

As an obsessive rattle hunter, I was a bit nervous that adding all that metal to my interior was going to create obnoxious new noises. I'm happy to report that these things are solid as hell and do not make any sound at all, with a few caveats:
  • I did initially notice what sounded like metal sliding back and forth when I took a sharp turn. Turns out the spacers they provide to go behind the bottom panel screws might be just a touch too short for the space. I reinstalled these with a few extra washers and that completely fixed the problem.
  • Obviously, the more gear you add, the more noise you'll get hitting bumps and such. This of course is not the fault of the panels themselves, but I was able to mitigate 95% of this noise by spacing out the bags a bit so they don't rub against each other, cutting off all extraneous buckles/D rings/zipper pulls etc., and most importantly: adding some strategically placed 1/16 inch sticky foam to the button snaps on the back.
All bags are cheapo airsoft stuff from Amazon which so far have been more than capable of the task of hanging there and holding stuff. I'm not looking to keep any hardcore overlanding gear on the panels -- I just like having the organization and easy access for everyday stuff like sunscreen, work gloves, flash lights, towels, etc. and these have been perfect.

Hi ! Nice setup ! Couple questions, do you think the overhead tray would interfere with the 3rd row ? I'm also wondering if I'd be able to fix some hooks in the overhead tray to slide in my skis so I don't have to fold the seats any time I want to go out.

I don't know if it would interfere with the 3rd row seats themselves but I can't imagine anyone would be able to sit in them other than small children, and even that might be tight.

Not sure I'm following on the ski idea... you can see the tray has a big "wall" on the front to stop items from falling forward. You could easily leave that off, but I don't see skis sitting up there very well unless they're super short and you can stick them in there sideways, and they're going to slide and rattle like crazy on the metal. Pretty sure there are other, cheaper options for hanging skis from the ceiling if that's your goal.

How is the sound? Does it rattle going down the road or while off roading?

I have the full set up and I don’t hear any rattle at all. Just secure whatever you’ve got attached to it nice and snug.

@EL616 do you recall the hardware used to mount this? I just got the panels and the online video instruction they have seems to gloss over a few steps. I am seeing four bolts (two longer, two shorter) plus four spacers (two longer, two shorter) but their installation video only shows three mounting spots and that including the thicker screw that goes at the very top. So it seems like there are two extra bolts and spacers. Am I missing something?

Did you just get one panel? I think if you buy a single window panel it still comes with the mounting hardware for both. There are three attachment points for each panel so you should have the big bolt for the top + a bolt and spacer for each bottom corner (don't recall which gets the longer one).

I bought both panels and they came each with their own identical hardware bags. Oddly, there are more bolts than mount areas in each bag. I called Cali Raised but had to leave a voicemail.

Yeah, I remember this -- each panel comes with a full bag of bolts and spacers for both sides. Even if you only buy one panel you get bolts for both, if you buy two you get two full sets. I guess it saves them more on packaging to just have one set/bag whether or not you buy one or two. Don't worry about it -- there are three attachment points on each side and it's pretty simple to figure out with their video.

One update to my notes on there not being any rattles -- I have developed a very distinctive "click" that happens when I hit bumps. I figured out it's coming from the top bolt on the left side; I can recreate it when I pull down on the rack. I don't think it's the panels themselves; it seems to be coming from the frame itself up inside the mounting hole where the clothes hook was. It goes away if I loosen the bolt a bit, but then the racks rattle. I'm going to try adding a rubber nut spacer to see if that helps but otherwise not sure what can be done about it. Kind of annoying but not Cali Raised's fault.

I just finished installing them. I video’d the whole thing and will put up on YouTube.
