This is almost identical to the setup I’m planning for my wife’s TRD Off-Road Premium that’s scheduled for delivery in the next couple of weeks. Looks great!

Did you happen to measure the height before and after installing the 1” ReadyLift to see what the true lift gain was? Also, just to confirm, you haven’t experienced any rubbing at full lock with the 275/70/18s on the TRD Pro wheels?

I’ve been thinking that tire size is the perfect sweet spot for stock suspension paired with a mild lift.

Here is my question if you’re gonna put TRD Pro wheels on a Sport. You must want a TRD Pro?

As for the 1” leveling lift, I think it makes a huge difference in appearance. Having equal spacing above the front and back wheels gives it a much more aggressive look, but from the driver’s seat I don’t think it’s very noticeable.

I am curious about how the same ReadyLift part number (66-54150) is listed as a 1.5” lift when installed on a Tacoma but only listed as giving 1” of bump to to the 4Runner. The part itself looked closer to 1” thick…

Anyway, I’m super pleased with how it turned out. Totally changed the look in my opinion!

Now I’ve just gotta remove that hideous air dam and get her in for an alignment to fix that toe-in. ?
I have the same vehicle as yours but mine is completely stock. Your truck does look much cooler than mine, I agree. I think the Predator steps though, that is the hideous part, not the air dam, but of course, to each his own.

I am a bit surprised that your new setup would run smoother than the stock setup. Is that a common realization for those that have made this mod? I thought it was just for looks.

Has the MPG changed much?

Congrats on the nice mods and sweet truck. Your wife will be the envy of many others as she rolls down the road.

A lot of people put TRD wheels on non-TRD 4Runners. It means they like the look of the wheels and don't need or want to spend all the extra money on the off-road tech features that come with a PRO. If you look that the other 4runner forum that is not just 6G specific, you will see many, many non-Pro vehicles with PRO wheels. It's very common because those wheels look better.

If I get limo tint on my 4Runner, does it mean I really want to be driving a limo? (That was added just for the sake of discussion.)

I think it should be locked down to per trim level and anyone would need to buy aftermarket and not OEM

Who would lock that down?

Do you suggest that Toyota agrees to not sell a part to someone who does not deserve it. Should they pass up that profit opportunity because they don't want people fronting? ( In slang, "fronting" means pretending to be someone or something you are not, often to impress or deceive others. It's about putting on a fake facade to create a false impression. )

No, I’m just saying I’m the type to go for the aftermarket stuff. I didn’t see the point of a SR5 (example) putting TRD Pro rims it!

All the hate on people putting Pro parts on different trims, must really annoy you. Have a look at her other post lol. Although nice to get the top trim and not have to mod as much, depends. Not everyone can afford a Pro or Trailhunter, or no stock, not needing all features etc. Shouldnt be reason, ohh I’m not allowed to buy parts not belonging to the trim. Coming from german, community and enthusists have Porche wheels on VW’s. Silly things with upbadging, ohh well. Have fun, their ride :)

It’s wild how you’ve somehow made this whole TRD Pro OEM wheel thing your entire personality—on here and Facebook. You clearly don’t know much if your go-to advice is telling people to ditch solid OEM options for cheap wheels like Fuel, XD, and whatever else clogs the discount racks. Not everyone wants to turn their 4Runner into a rolling catalog of bad decisions.

The point is that one can save a lot of money by purchasing an SR5 and adding a few tasteful TRD PRO upgrades (wheels, etc.) especially if you have no plans to use the off-roading technology on the pricier trims.
