I removed mine, but did notice that the air dam wasn't entirely secured. I think there's around 9-10 of those screws holding it in and i had a total of 6 or something. Definitely get that baby hunkered down if you want to keep it on

Jeez, if they couldn't even tighten a simple air dam at the factory, what else they failed to tighten? ?
I would guess there is more going on than just the official QC534-Air dam service/repair. I’ve heard that there are supply issues with many port installed options like the Bluetooth jbl speaker on premium packages and the air compressors on Trailhunters etc.

There are precisely 9 screws holding this on. Oddly, two of them had Phillips head capability; though all were hex on mine. It was fastened securely, but I took it off anyway. Most people seem to be doing that. I like how it looks without it, and that thing may get damaged depending on how and where you drive anyway.

My air dam flapped it's way loose. Dealer removed it. Whether or not I wanted it removed, it's factory designed/installed for a reason. Without it, it's costing me $ in lost mpg's. Toyota owes me. ?

I will have to check mine! My plan is to leave it on until I get to an off-road situation where it would be a problem--make sure I have a ratchet (maybe battery one for speed) with me and remove until I need to get back on the high-speed road, the reinstall it. Solves both problems--potential damage to it off-road and MPG drop on.

would be nice if the District Sales Managers could contact the Ports to tell them which owners want them on and which ones want them off. Im sure by them just removing them it would speed up the QC holds. Mine has gone from a 30 day to a 42 day and now a 52 day QC hold on something that my dealer already knows to remove before calling me to let me know its on the lot. They also have already been given my Peak Suspension 1.25" leveling kit, front tow hooks, badge over lay and Las Fit switchback front turn/parking lights to install.

I was told it added to the air dynamics and “might” improve the MPG.

So the dealer just “removed it”? - they didn’t try to reattach it? Hum… I’ll be talking to my service mananger about this too.

Thank you! You can bet I’ll be talking to my service manger about it!
Everyone that has kept there Air dams on and has drove at interstate speeds will have this issue
Yea, I've driven 80mph for a few hours off and on and in the rain. - And it came loose too... poor QA and design

They just removed it, after taking lots of photos and writing up all the paperwork to send to Father Toyota
They've heard, and acknowledged the problem, but hadn't seen it at their dealership. That thing comes flying off on the highway, it's going to be a big issue. Let alone all the screws being left in tires
