yeahhhh trying to figure out another solution right now. good thing is that ive wanted a vaultek for some time anyways. bad news is .. i guess i need to find something else to go with it
Confirming that the Vaultek Lifepod 20 does NOT fit under the passenger or drivers seat of a Limited gas only trim of the 4runner... Need other options now
I believe it is the "self-learning" part of the transmission. I'm not a huge fan of it tbh but I definitely feel it a ton. Sometimes I feel a bit embarrassed when my friends with a Stellantis Durango has a smoother shifting trans lmao
Checking back in here today. Wife drove the car and said "i just noticed how much this car vibrates at idle"
Turned off AC and the vibration was reduced quite a bit. Looks like this is definitely a thing
Hey folks - Hoping for some guidance here. I'm looking to install a gun safe that can be placed in the drivers seat area. Obviously in a concealed region, but given that the Limited trim has power seats, I don't think under my seat is an option.
For context, this would be used to store the...

Yup that's what i meant! Sry if there was any confusion but I was just trying to clarify between FT FWD and 4HI. I don't think i've come across any situation where I've needed 4lo yet
If it's like 4-8 inches of snow I'll keep it in FT 4WD and I've only ever used 4hi like twice.
Running a stock limited gas only 4runner w/ FT4WD; experienced one of the harsher winters this past season with snowfall of about 1.5 feet I wanna say. My neighbor broke his ankle trying to shovel and...
Yes. TBH this car has a lot more creaks and rattles than I care for, especially when the thing I'm comparing it to is a 2012 volkswagen GTI
I don't expect them to have super nice options or build quality, but I do expect less noise from both the interior components + drivetrain when compared...
Lmao I know what this means, but it still sounds so funny when ya read it. Wish I could see how this feels. I thought the Limited trim's adjustable variable suspension would've given me a bit more plush on the roads when it comes to potholes, but alas it is a body on frame
