What are they doing about the the QC534 air dam issue ?
From what I’ve been told, Toyota is just “securing” the air dam so that it doesn’t come off as has been reported. I’m sure it’s just more securely fashioned to the vehicle but not to the point it can’t be removed.

I got the warranty from the Longo in SoCal. Pretty big dealership so I’d expect them to know the up to dates on repairs; however, it seems like there is not a new special way of securement with the same screws

Mine came apart during a long road trip and was dragging the pavement while flopping around and was rubbing the tire , I did notice a drop in average fuel consumption down from 21.8 to 18.7 mpg on flat interstate highway with dry roads, clear conditions and no wind, consistently driving at 80 mph non hybrid gas model TRD Off Road Premium

They know about this issue but refuse to admit it or cover warranty claims at dealerships. 6g owners should write in to Toyota and voice complaints and concerns, it’s easy and only takes a few minutes. They need to own this dangerous warranty / recall issue before someone gets hurt or killed. https://support.toyota.com/s/questions-comments?language=en_US

Seriously, bodywork flying off at highway speeds is wildly dangerous, if not to you then for the car(s) behind you - not sure what Toyota are thinking here.

As far as I understand it, they have held a lot of shipments in port until this issue is fixed. My ORP was supposed to arrive yesterday, but is on hold until further notice. I hope they make good on all the units that they missed.

Sure, and that's great, but for all of us that already have our 4runners, a call from the dealer saying "hey swing by so we can check ur air dam" would be nice? Instead of being surprised by it on the highway?

Okay, these post required I go check my air dam. I picked up my 4Runner on 7-1. I have 280 miles of accelerated highway driving. All of my screws were tight. However, I am not going to crawl under the vehicle every 300 miles to confirm this. I'm thinking, go with the 2024 LC250 skid plate and lose the air dam entirely.
