I paid $44,360 for my Heritage Blue SR5. It came with about 3k of accessories, ones I actually wanted! I called around to several places, told them my number, and if they couldn’t make it happen, I called the next place. Don’t settle unless you feel good about your deal.

Yours is almost exactly like mine some different options but about the same total price. Mine was $ 48,112 and I paid almost $42600. Looks like the base price went up a little on the 2026. Those taxes and fees is what blows my mind! They are about 4x what we pay about NC. We only pay 3% sales tax on vehicles here. I guess every state gets their tax money in different ways.. Lord knows we pay enough. Having driven mine for over 5 months really pleased with it!

Wow, great work! Yeah there’s not much I can do about those taxes, being in CA. Gov. Gruesome Newsom is cracking down on people buying/registering vehicles out of state now.

Im paying $2000 under MSRP for a Trailhunter. Multiple dealers in the midwest (St. Louis) have offered between 1500 and 2000 off of MSRP. I don’t know if that’s a good price or not.

Edit: The dealer admin fees are $649 and they are paying to have it shipped to me as well (a $700 savings). No other dealer markups of any sort.

The dealer I’m buying from Eddys in Wichita KS. Has anyone ever dealt with them? I’m not loving the process so far. I am in St. Louis Missouri. Also they said the vehicle is in Port and it takes about 40 days to get it out of port. Does that track with what you all know? Thanks.

mine from production confirmed 7-23-25 (when they will decide to build my model/trim) to build (8-22-25) to delivery (10-13-25) was 52 days (build to drive off the lot).

japan port to portland port was 13 days ship travel time (9-3-25 to 9-16-25)

sat in port from 9-13-26 to 9-24-25 (i imagine this was for PIO installations)

port processing was from 9-24-25 to rail depart was 9-25-25

rail travel was from 9-25-25 to 10-4-25 (portland to daytons bluff, mn)

sat from 10-4-25 to about 10-11-25 when it was put on a transport and delivered 10-12-25 and i drove off the lot on 10-13-25

the transport company only transports when the whole trailer is loaded with vehicles, so it could take a while (1-3 weeks) before they will haul a fully loaded trailer to a dealer.

Thank you for all of this. Do we as the general public have access to that timeline, or is that a dealer thing only? I will ask my dealer for this!

you can ask the dealer to give you a print out from dealerdaily of the pipeline status.

access to dealerdaily is for toyota employee's and dealers that request access for dealership employee's that need it.

I got my ORP Hybrid for MSRP last May. Around $61,000 but I had to call 14 dealerships and work a couple dealerships against each other for that deal. Everyone wanted markups and dealer add on's. Dalton Toyota in San Diego and Avondale Toyota in Arizona were the only two wanting to make a deal. I went with Dalton since they were closer and getting it delivered sooner. I think now $1500 - $3000 off MSRP would be considered a good deal.

Folks all if this is geography dependent. Folks in some states just have to pay more. I would not even have considered only $1500-$3000 off MSRP as a good deal. Your state and dealeship experiences will all vary.

Port in Japan? Yes 40 days is about right.

And with the internet geography doesnt matter. I have 3 toyota dealers within 40 miles of me. None of them want to make deals so I drive 500 miles away and save thousands.

I was calling dealerships up to 500 miles away when I bought just to get MSRP and still had to wait a month for it to ship from Japan.

It was hard last April in California. The hybrids were not that easy to get at that time. I was also supper picky with the trim and options I wanted. AUX switches and black out package. Also didn't want one with the ARB roof rack.
