Water when opening rear doors?

Is everyone else having the same problem? Whenever you open one of the doors after it's rained all the water runs out and goes into the vehicle.... See my video. Said too large to upload here. I have the 25 Platinum.

I can't say that has happened to mine. Its been super rainy here and don't recall having that issue, but I'll certainly look for it now.

Same problem here! Seems the only solution would be to block that channel, but I fear the effects of that could be worse than the small amount of water getting in.

I laughed when it first happened to me because it all falls on the plastic "step" they have going onto the floor from the door sill. Almost like they put the plastic there knowing about the water.

Yet another Rookie error by Toyota. It really does seem they rushed this vehicle out.

I suggest that the quality of Japanese built vehicles has dropped.

Don't laugh to fast. Most manufacturers run wiring harnesses under that "step" and water and wires usually don't play nice together.

Eh, it's no more water than what any kids snow covered shoe is bringing in. I'm not too concerned.

Wires and water actually go together pretty well. It's water and unprotected wire connections that don't like baths.

The front door does it also except the water falls on you instead of the seat

I should take a pic to lazy…on the front door I think the same thing happens with the rear door there weather stripping at the end of the door (near you) when opening it the water slides out of that to the rear seat or the front passengers shirt before getting in lol

I live in Seattle. Small amounts of collected rain water entering any car I've ever owned upon opening a window or door is the standard for much of the year. Take solace in knowing it's never caused a problem.

I kind of thought the same, I don't live in rain but I traveled a lot and that seemed pretty par for the course with all the different rental cars I have had. Some might have been better, some might have been worse but I never found a car that it didnt happen somewhat in.
