Anybody else have a warning on the dash saying to check the tire pressure and the spare tire is highlighted orange? As you can see why this picture the pressures are all within range but I’m still getting an error on the dash any thoughts?

Did you reduce the psi in it bc there's a lot more air in there when they come from factory. I think it needs to be filled up more if you don't have a full size spare tire.

Weird, this happened to me this morning as well. I don't know anything about anything, but I did just get back from a trip with some big elevation changes, plus we had a storm roll through. I thought maybe that might have something to do with it.

When the light came on the spare tire was at 40 psi I tried lowering it a little bit to see if that helped. And I would never run it at 40 psi as the manual recommends 33

Haven't checked on the 6th gen, but my 4th gen will alert on tire pressure that is less than 25% below or more than 25% above recommended. At 39 psi you should be within, but you're also not far from the max. Suggest letting some air out and see if that helps.

Yes I did let some air out today but I could let out more. Odd that I would have this warning after having 20,000k on it.

Are they stock or aftermarket tires? Mine did that after I had the tires replaced; I took it back, and they tried to program it. They eventually told me they were going to have to order a new TPMS. After driving for a day, it went off.

I went to CO in July, came back, and got a tire rotation. I rotated the spare in and now am getting a low-pressure warning on the spare since it was moved from one of the corners, and I apparently never reinflated it to the proper pressure and gave it time to adjust - or so I assumed. Maybe I am having the same issue?

if you have the 5 sensors, just remember, that the 4 main sensors were loaded into the ecu with the oem psi and the spare was probably loaded at 45/46 psi and never re-adjusted to a normal psi after delivery.

there is a procedure in the owner manual to change the warning psi a specific sensor will trigger the ecu/bcm set threshold to throw a warrning.

thank you. Do you know the page number I did look at the manual and I didn’t see anything about selecting the spare tire.

you can literally search this on youtube, if you dont want look up tire pressure in the index of manual.
Also fun fact weather temps dropping will lower air pressure in tires...this happened to my spare when it got cool last yr, i just reached under found valve stem aired it up...its not mileage based. Tire sensors are factory set high like nearly 40psi if i remember.

definitely feel the sarcasm through all of the……. I’m very familiar with YouTube. I also find the forum community to be very helpful. So I quite often will reach out on a forum before watching many YouTube videos to find my solution.

Fun fact. I am aware of the index of a manual works, but thank you for letting me know. I did read the manual. I didn’t see anything specifically speaking to changing the parameters around the psi for the spare tire.

I did lower the spare tire to check its actual pressure as I initially assumed it was low however, it was reading at over 40 psi so it was strange to me that I was getting this indication on the dash that’s why I thought I would go to the forms seeking advice……. As it’s normally help and constructive. ……

Well, after reading the manual further. And watching a suggested YouTube video, the problem persists. I guess it’s off to the dealer.

i’ll attach the three pictures of the procedure goes through after selecting the set tire pressure setting on the screen.
