OK, here is a real answer. I had these on my 21 Tundra to level it out. I had the fronts set on the top perch to get the most lift. On the Tundra, it was about 2.5"; the rear shocks add no lift on the leaf spring rear suspension. Now the ride quality was the first thing I noticed on the winding hilly roads where I live, plus it canceled out any nose dive while braking, and that was with OEM front springs. I am not sure if the 5100s are available for the 6th gen 4runner yet, but that is definitely the most bang for the buck and a direction I would take if you want better ride quality, handling, and get a little lift at the same time. I currently have a Westcott lift on four corners to level the 4Runner with OE shocks since the 5100s weren't out yet. I plan on adding the 5100s later and still using the Westcott pucks.Hi guys,
Has anyone upgraded their suspension on the 6th gen using Bilstein 5100s and used the adjustable perch to level the vehicle? I’m planning on doing a 2-inch front lift with the 5100s and keeping the rear stock height but still replacing it with Bilstein (like what’s shown on the Bilstein website / Performance level2 for reference). How was your ride experience on and off road?
