Is anyone getting any steering wheel feedback over smaller bumps on the TRD ORP? Almost feels like something is loose in the front driver side but it’s been checked out a they’re saying that nothing is lose or damaged. 2,200 miles only on my ORP Hybrid. Very annoying feel. I asked dealer to check it out and it turned into a huge 3 day 3 trip event because they started moving stuff and messed with the alignment and supposedly I had a bad tire but it rode smooth as butter at highway speeds so I’m not sure what they did but it was all kinds of messed up after the first trip an I had to go back 2 more times to get it finally dialed in. Feels better for sure but the annoying feedback in steering wheel is still there of small or light numbs. I’m wondering if yall have had the same experience and if upgraded suspension helps this? Or did the dealer mess something up more and not fixing it? I’m gonna tear into this weekend myself and check. Sorry for the long post. Any feedback on this would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

My 25 TRD Pro does it… weirdly my 25 Tacoma Trd Pro does not…

It feels like the steering assembly is loose and only felt on slight bumps, no noise.

Interesting. I noticed this on my test drive of a '25 Trailhunter, I figured it was normal because I wasn't use to a body on frame vehicle since I've been driving vehicles with independent suspension for the last 10 years.

Your steering intermediate shaft needs replacing. Search for threads about that on here, there should be a few

I have had the identical issue with my 6G 4R TRD Sport. It started at around 3000 miles, and by 6500 miles, it was very noticeable. I was super concerned that my local dealership would call it "normal", or say they can't feel it at all.

SO... I called them in advance and spoke to a manager in the department. I let them know my concerns, and asked to be present when they first drove it to diagnose.

Although the "clunk" was fairly slight and subtle, the tech could definitely feel it when going over the right street surface. I left the 4R with them, and they even gave me a loaner Tacoma to use.

They had the car for over a week, but I'm glad to say it's fixed... at least for now. I'm obviously concerned that they installed the exact same part that they took out of it, which may be faulty by design.

The part they replaced is the lower #2 shaft, 45203-60300. All good for now.
