At the point that you high center the SR5 on something and wish you had that extra inch of ground clearance the OR has.

True, but still... I think the ground clearance (assuming stock tire size) is the only significant disadvantage unless you tackle some serious terrain .

*all* of it comes from a larger tire(*), a lift won't change the distance between the rear pumpkin and mother earth.

One has to wonder how the OR has 1” more clearance from a tire that is 0.5” larger in radius!

There is 1.05" difference in radius between the SR5 245/70R17 and OR 265/70R18 tires. That is the ground clearance difference as @shine stated.

Ahhh I thought they were 31.5 tires. Now the numbers make sense

Is that the gap that used to be covered up by the air dam? In another thread people were worried about rocks getting thrown up into there damaging the intercooler etc.

That’s the one. It’s about 2”. I plan to fabricate a piece if no one makes one soon. Considering a few of them models come with that gap from the factory, I’m thinking it’s a nice-to-have vs a must.
