Just installed the ScanGauge 3 in my 26 ORP. It had been in my 23 ORP, mainly to monitor temps when towing a 16' Airstream through the mountains in Colorado.

Direct connect from the OBDII connector to the ScanGauge 3 display. Super fast update rate.

I went with Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions as there isn't a lot of room for a mounting arm behind the Scangauge monitor. The Bulletpoint ball is 20mm, which is 5mm smaller than the standard Ram Mount ball.

I designed and 3D printed a custom cradle for the monitor, as there really wasn't anyway to directly attach the ball to the monitor. The STL file available on request. Double sided foam tape holds the monitor to the cradle.

Would a 3M tape mounted MagSafe magnet fit on the back of the display? There's plenty of 3rd party MagSafe mounts that are easily converted to almost any surface method. The TRD power button MagSafe is a prime example.

There's not much weight to the Scangauge monitor, so I would imaging that would work as well.

As an engineer, I'm always leaning toward a more complex solution. :)

Heat is an issue. Like was already mentioned, it’s not that heavy. The 3m heavy duty was not holding up due to heat. I ended up using a “dual lock“ style Velcro that is holding up to the heat. It also makes it easily removable.
