I have had my 4R SR5 for 8 months. Today, I stopped to get gas, started the engine and saw a red warning icon on the lower right of the display near the 7500 rpm scale.
it turned off in maybe 15-25 seconds. I had no passengers or load in the rear and did not open the rear doors at the gas station.
I looked it up and on page 583, it describes the warning and its clearly to warn when you have rear passengers who have not put the seat belts on. Again, no one in the rear.
stopping the engine and restarting now shows the icon first, even before the main gauges come up. It stays on while parked for about 30-40 seconds then turns off. There are no warning buzzers or beeps.
Question, is this normal behavior for that safety warning light and I have simply not noticed it in 8 months? Or is something else going on.
The icon has the word “Rear” and three dots under the word. Not sure if the dots are tepresenting all three seatbelts on the rear seat or not.
Thanks in advance.
