2025 4Runner ORP
Vehicle: 2025 4Runner Off-Road Premium
Engine: i-Force 2.4L Turbo non-hybrid
Drivetrain: Part Time 4WD
Driving Mode: Standard
Tires: 18” TRD Black Wheels with Falken Wild Peak A/T 265/70R18 116T tires
Tire Pressure: 33 cold (It started at 35 but at 641 miles dealer set to 33).
Driving Style: Moderate, just keeping up with the Hyundai’s. Fastish on Hwy
Highway Speeds: 65 to 80 MPH
City/Highway Split: 65/35 to 70/30 Cty/Hwy
A/C: On most of the time. Not even sure how to turn it off.
Traffic Type: No stop and go. Mostly suburban/non-rush hour
Gas Brand: Costco “TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline”
Gas Octane: Mostly Regular 87. Premium 91 didn’t seem to make a difference.
Gas Ethanol: Pump says “Contains Up to 10% Ethanol”. Southern California.
Oil change at 2,000 miles

Last three fills.
2,183 miles: 15.6 mpg 65/35 Cty/Hwy
2,443 miles: 16.1 mpg 65/35 Cty/Hwy
2,620 miles: 14.0 mpg 70/30 Cty/Hwy

The Cty/Hwy is just a guess. I wish there was a way to get that from the system e.g. average speed since last reset.

12-13mpg on my first tank. My commute is 100% city and my daily morning gym run consists of an underground parkade ramp, three 4-way stops, and about 4 stop lights that are about 10s apart. Same route in my 2022 Offroad premium with AT tires was also in that 12-13mpg range.

How is everyone getting such horrific mpg's? That's worse than the previous gas guzzeling gen and this is a 4 cyl turbo. Heck, I got 17 mpg on my V6 twin turbo bronco lifted 2" with 35's.

I was getting about 21 mpg for the first 2500 miles but now I'm getting about 19.5 over the last 1500 miles. Not sure if there was a change in the 4Runner, change to winter gas, or if now I am babying it less and just driving without concern for mileage.
