Another logical assumption. Toyota would rather replace thousands of engines under warranty because of "marketing". What does Toyota have to gain by writing 10,000 miles in their manual instead of 5,000?
Yes, Toyota makes recommendations only for the best of conditions for oil they don't use. Because they love wasting money on replacing engines under warranty 🤣
AFAIK it's only available as an option on the hybrid model. I didn't want to deal with the hybrid, so I chose gas only engine, and it wasn't an available option on that.
I'm taking delivery of my 2026 ORP soon, this weekend hopefully, and I've been reading through posts and threads but didn't see this exact spec.
My car will have the all black optional wheels, so my idea was to ditch the stock tires for 285/70/18 Wildpeaks and put a 1 inch (25mm) spacer on the...
Speedometers are required by law to read higher than you're actually going. That way if you get a ticket for speeding, you can't blame the manufacturer that your car was saying you were going the speed limit. Every speedometer is off by a little.
Like was said earlier, the engines run 5W-30 elsewhere in the world, so it was designed for that. The only reason to go to a thinner oil is for EPA appeasement. Not reliability.
This conversation has happened on every forum on every engine that uses 0w-20 lol. Even as far back as when I had my...
It's 8% in my county in Ohio, it's not a state regulated number. Plates and such is about $100 and insurance I don't know yet till I transfer the insurance from my Corolla to the 4runner. I'm 45 with an excellent record so shouldn't be much more, if any. Tax deduction on trade in is the same...
How are you liking the tires? Are they white letters on one side, black on the other? I'm looking at these but I'm not crazy about the white letters showing.
