Project Trailhunter - Braun Lantern Improvement

You may have seen my other thread but to recap I’m trying to make my SR5 to be as comparable to a Trailhunter for the lowest price possible (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! I am not trying to make it exactly (can’t make hybrid etc) this is just a fun way I decided to mod my ride)

today I took advantage of the Harbor Freight Spring Black Friday sale and picked up a Braun pocket floodlight for $17.99 (40% off ending today!). I got yellow but the store I was at also had blue and I believe there is a red too. overall I really like it. There is no rattling when it is in the side pocket and is a near perfect fit. It is also magnetic which is a big plus for when I’m working at night and can stick it under the hood. It is much brighter than OEM from the TH (or at least some of them? Still confused on whether or not it’s standard). Overall super happy I was able to find this product through the forum! They make green too (I have green). I found that the Braun light rattles around in the cubby a little bit, so I stuck some 1/4" flexible weather stripping in there, and it's a nice snug fit.

Been using these for years in the garage. They last a long time, are tough AF, and very useful. I had to buy a new one that wasn't covered in grease to put in the cubby though LOL

They add the lantern at the port, or should. They didn't for me and I didn't notice until I got home. 3 hours away from where I bought it. I just bought the Harbor Frieght one instead like most. I wrapped mine in a microfiber before putting it in since it did rattle by itself.
