Has anyone figured out how to get rid of this forever, not just to toggle it off with right hand steering wheel control button. I do not like the DRCC, I know I'm not alone :). If you like it great, but I'm only asking how to disable it forever. 2025 T4R, TKS

Can you not just use the mode button and then permanently leave it on regular "cruise control mode"? At that point, DRCC will never be in play.

It's so easy to simply hit the button that changes to regular cruise though... At least it's one button press. Try changing the PCS every time you get in the vehicle....It's ridiculous!

Would you (and any others) mind elaborating on what you don't like about it? I don't have an opinion on it yet since I haven't used it (all city driving, or at most a few miles on a freeway between exits where I didn't see a need to engage cruise control at all), so I'd like to know what issues to look for when I do use it.

No it defaults to radar every time the car is turned off then on.

I'm used to the old cruise control. I don't like it acting like it knows what's best for me. Plus, the lane assist feature doesn't work well for me. It works for a few seconds then cautions me to take control of the wheel because it's going to disable itself. A few seconds later it starts beeping at me to really get my attention. Now, one feature I'd really like in a cruise control is for it to recognize that it's approaching the top of a hill and to let the vehicle speed drop a couple mph instead of slamming the tranny into a lower gear just before it tops the hill. That would be cool!

Me too, I don't like the radar CC constantly hitting the brakes. On a 2 lane hwy that's ok but 4 lanes and greater the people behind you don't know what is going on. I don't use the lane assist.

Get used to it. I spoke with an engineer with Hughes not too long ag. In 5-7 years, we will be entering our destination into a map and have the car drive us.

My golly, you are correct! I never realized that. Weird that it defaults like that
I know, right? I'm going to talk to my dealer about this. I read, I think on a Taco forum where someone had their dealer disable it. I will report back if I figure it out.

you cannot perm disable it since its tied to other related functions of TSS 3.0.

its interconnected with the front radar and front facing big camera. to disable it would require you to lose all TSS functionality and other features.

they all use the same computer
