New 4Runner Dash Cam! ROVE R2-4K Dual PRO Dash Cam Front & Rear

I picked up this new dash cam for my 2025 4Runner and have been very happy with it so far. It’s the Rove r2-4k. It records in 4k, has good quality video, and works great! I used an older version of this same one on my other 4Runner. That one is still running strong after 6 years. They are affordable too (way less than the one from Toyota).

How did you run the wires to your rear camera?

I went with the VIOFO 2 Pro. I love it. Some great off road footage. It super easy running the wire in the headliner. Mounting rear camera is different story. I removed one of the rear headliner tabs. Then took a piece of aluminum bar stock and formed to level where windshield wiper cleaned. However not to low that it gets in the way.

Where did you tap into for your hardwire kit? I just got mine and im struggling to get the hardware kit correct for parking mode?

There's 2 fuse boxes in the engine bay and one under the glove box area. The one directly in front of the of the driver (engine bay) has plenty of spots. Not sure about the glove box one, haven't looked inside.

I checked a couple of the empty fuses that do have power. But have a line across. Anyone know what they indicate?
