Hello-

Is anyone else having an issue where the low fuel warning light does not come on at all? Seems a persistent problem. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

It’s probably going to be much lower than anything else you have ever owned. There’s about a 3 gallon reserve at empty. Mine has come on once at 20 miles left. Being someone who typically refills with a quarter tank left, I struggle to let it fall much below 50 miles.

I've documented this in another thread with photos but....
Dash notification AND tank light changing from white to amber happens with ~2.8 gallons left in tank (per the manual and my very anal detailed evidence). So... symbol will change to amber (AND you will need to hit the return button to get rid of notification) at somewhere between 18 and 24* miles on the distance to go indicator - depending on your recent MPGs. And when that hits zero the display changes to "REFUEL NOW" - at that point there are about 2 gallons left. (*these are the numbers I have seen and recorded - the low value when I have 285/70 E load tires and have been in 4LO some of that tank; the high value with OEM tires/wheels and air dam and mostly 55-60 mph constant driving (e.g., lots of 2 lane state highways))

OP: If you have gotten below 15 on the DTE reading without tank symbol turning amber then maybe there IS a problem?

I can tell you this. The mileage is based on approximately 16 gallons of fuel. The light will not come on until you are at about 19-20 miles left to empty. Once you are at empty...when you fill up you will only need about 16 gallons roughly...leaving you about 3 gallons of reserve fuel since tank is 19 gallons.

Morning. I have a Pro as well and it has to hit 19 miles left for a warning. Has happened to me twice.

I don’t ever let mine go below 50miles. So I couldn’t say.

lol, the wife freaks out when her tundra goes below 1/2 tank. getting stuck in winters up in ND can sometimes take hours to get to you depending on road conditions and closures. so you need a nice tank buffer to keep you warm until help arrives.

see too many people try to walk to a farm house thinking hey thats not far then realize too late its farther away then they thought and freeze to an ice block during our cold snaps.

doesnt happen too much the last 5-10 years but 20+ years ago use to see news article of old folks trying that in the country side.

i tend to let mine get to 1/4 tank but most of my driving is a primarily state road to the air base so plenty of traffic if needed to stop and do a pickup.

the times i do go driving down to the state capital i tend to fill up at a 1/2 tank in case we slide off into the ditch and waiting for help.

easier to fill with gas than freak out about not having enough gas to keep warm until help arrives.
