I love my SR5 4x4 but I really don’t like the look of the matte plastic wheel well fenders.

Done anyone know if I can order the fenders that are on the limited or platinum trim, either unpainted or already painted, and swap them out? Has anyone done this mod?

I have been interested in doing this on my ORP, haven't found the Toyota genuine parts yet so am following along in case someone has.

I did find that Rave Off Road sells these fender flares (made by Rough Country) that can come paint matched for some of the colors:
https://raveoffroad.com/products/paint-matched-fender-flares-for-2025-4runner

They are not the stock size, I emailed and they confirmed they are both wider (stick out from the body) and taller (covers more of the fender) than the stock ones. I asked if they plan to offer the original Toyota ones and they said they have considered it but they would be quite a bit more expensive so they are gauging interest in them and aren't sure if they will. Keeping my fingers crossed

In the meantime they do sell painted mirror caps and door handle covers so I plan to get those at least.

@ryno has the Rough Country Extended Fender Flares installed on his 4Runner. Here was his thread on it:

https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/rough-country-extended-fender-flares-installed.5468/

He says the Rough Country extended fender flares extend an extra 1 3/4" inch over his factory SR5 flares.

Awesome. I’ll take a look at these. Thanks for the info.

Nice, these must be the same ones Rave sells, just straight from the source haha, thanks for sharing!
Ha! Whoops, I just saw that you wrote that brand in your post.

I replaced my painted underground fenders with rough country extended ones on my Limited. They look great, and are well made. I think they will paint them for you to match if you want. I liked the contrast of the gloss black though with the underground color.

In another thread, there was an individual with a Pro in mudbath who had his flares painted in mudbath to match his color. It looked great.

looks great. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Looks like that black will match the factory paint pretty close.
