This looks amazing!

How would you rate the difficulty doing this? Any tips for someone attempting it?

I just ordered one for my buddy and will try matching his truck.
I say 3/10. Stripping it apart was easy. I couldnt figure out the hood scoop and was afraid of breaking it so i left it on and covered it with tape. Covering it with tape i say was the “hardest” part about the whole thing just because its tedious and you want to get the lines right or else the paint will look uneven. Removed the decals with a steamer and alcohol for the compass design. Then taped it up. Did the black for the windows, rails etc first and then taped that up and did the body. Used tamiya lacquer spray. Did at least 3 coats with about 30mins to an hour intervals. Dont spray so close, at least a foot away. And do passes, not on one spot. Its ok if you dont get everything in a spray. Thats what the many sprays 30mins apart is for. You just dont want to get a pool of paint and then when it dries its not smooth. Its a lot harder to remove and do all over again. So just light sprays passes

Thanks, this is super helpful! 3/10 is much easier than I was expecting. Like many paint projects I've done in the past, the prep work is alway the hardest. So I totally get what you mean about taping. Your taping skills are on point - hood scoop, rails and windows look perfect.

I'll probably use a paint from Walmart, so the only thing I'll do different is scuff the surface a bit.

Thanks again. I'll let you know how it turns out.
