Westcott Preload Collar Kit: Front + 2.5”, Rear + .75, level, preserves OEM capability.

Toyo AT3 C 285/75/17: More rubber when airing down, fits spare compartment w/ slight deflation, tucks nicely with articulation.

ADD Stealth Center Mount Bumper + Warn EVO 12S: Better protection, approach angle, recovery capabilities.

Performance:
OTT Stage 1 tune, AWE OFG 3” Cat Back Exhaust (AWE exhaust will probably be removed, serious resonance issues 1500-2000 RPM range, high gear (8), increased load demanded).

you think those tires and wheels would have cleared without the RC kit? I’m considering the same set up for my SR5 with pro rims.

Probably. I had no rubbing even with the OEM mudflaps. But these wheels are +45 offset, I think the Pros are +20

Been hearing about the drone with the AWE exhaust system. Had great luck with Borla on my ‘21 2.3 turbo Ford Ranger, so will likely add the same s-type exhaust to my 4Runner. Your truck is looking great.

Yeah - I swapped back to the OEM exhaust system this weekend. The noise (drone/resonance/rumble/cacophony -pick your adjective ) was just horrendous in the 1500-2000 rpm range in high gear when a load was demanded. If you listen closely to the stock system you’ll hear a little rumble in this range. The AWE OFG amplified this exponentially. I spoke to an exhaust shop and had them QA my install after I first put it on. They were big proponents of Magnaflow systems. Unfortunately they don’t make a bolt on system for Hybrids so I may try and cobble something together. I’ll check out Borla as well.

Do notice the extra exhaust noise in that range but the stock system manages it well. For upgrades, I’ve always preferred exhaust system focused companies (e.g. Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, etc.) over companies that just happen to have systems as part of a greater catalog. Borla has the no drone s-type systems and I’ve never had an issue.

Agree. AWE relies on the placement of ports rather than baffling material and IMO they just didn’t get this system right. My primary goal was reducing flow resistance (Poiseuille’s Law) with the 3” pipe but just not worth the noise. I’ll check Borla out.

Love your build - nice work.

On the AWE 0FG exhaust, I’m actually a huge fan of it. No drone for me and I find it sounds absolutely incredible. I have a ‘26 TRD ORP for reference.

That’s good to hear. I had no issue with the overall sound except in the range I described. You’re running the Hybrid…correct.

So far, no issues with that range.

Should have clarified that my ORP is straight gas (non-hybrid).

Ok. Might be something with the shift points o.n the Hybrid. I’m glad it’s working out for you.!

Interesting to see you can get the 285/75/17 AT3 into the spare.

AT3 are one of the tires I may choose and knowing you can get almost a 34” in the spare may tip that decision.

How much did you have to deflate it?
