~9600 miles, stock, 22.3 overall average, eco/normal, 87oct. Just did an ~80ish mile round trip yesterday and averaged 24.2. Don't know how y'all are getting such trash mpg... heavy foot? always in sport? towing a lot? lots of elevation gain?

Have to expect crappy mpg with bigger/heavier wheels/tires

I’m starting to think that the poor MPG is a TRD Pro thing as my MPG’s are pretty much at par with your numbers. I too filed a complaint with dealer and Toyota . Received a live call back from Toyota.
I'm at 2386 miles and have not reset my trip since getting the vehicle. Total average since I got it with 6 miles on the odometer is 18.3. Was sitting at 18.5 for a bit, but has been dropping a little lately. I run 93 Exxon. Highway all the way to work 4 days a week, then work from home on Fridays. 36 minute trip in the morning, 65-70 no cruise, and then the same trip home takes an hour. Speeds more stop and go traffic in Austin, then 40-50 on backroads to avoid construction. I don't really care, but does seem worse than it should be. Guessing battery weight isn't helping. For reference, my 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness with the 2.4 turbo, running the same gas, averaged 22.5. I also drove a little faster in that vehicle.

Heavy foot, no. I haven't even floored this thing ever. I've been trying to be a more defensive driver to save my sanity in Austin traffic, so been taking it pretty easy in this thing. Morning RPMs rarely get above 2500. I never tow, except for my bike sometimes on a hitch rack. Never come out of Normal mode for more than a day. I tried Eco, but didn't like the engine response. Maybe I should give it another shot. Not much elevation where I am. Your MPG is about what I'd expect.

It's not the battery for the most part. it's the stop and go traffic. apples and oranges for the subaru
