Very different vehicles having owned both. I had my 5th gen 2016 4Runner for 4 1/2 years and 53k miles. Sold it for $2700 under what I paid new. It was trouble free though an archaic V6 & 5 spd auto with dreadful mileage. I bought a new '21 X5 MSport and drove it 4 1/2 years and 48k miles. It...
Love my TRD Off Road iForce Max. It is a welcome torque and mpg improvement over my 5th gen V6. I originally planned to buy a Lexus GX. More $$ and they were getting ADM which I do not pay. Also drove a friends and while nice it did not justify $20k above the 4Runner. The deciding factor between...
Ordered my homelink mirror from Bob's today. He could not have been more helpful. Bought my TRD iForce Max Off Road non premium last August. All their premiums were the non hybrid or I would have paid the diff. This OEM non dimming and no homelink mirror was the only inconvenience I could not...
Sure that antique 5th gen drivetrain would go 300k miles but Toyota is years ahead of every other manufacturer on hybrid technology and durability. Having owned both gen's, it is not even close. That iForce Max can move out with 465 lb ft of torque and provides decent mpg vs the old 5th gen...
I'm 78 and have said I won't mod this Porsche though I did my last two. Lol. My grandsons are both young adult BMW M guys and when they go a club drive with me they think I'm nuts. The .2 S now has bumped power and torque matching my 992.1 GTS. All that said I'm loving my TRD OR iForce Max. It...
I use the dash average mpg. I also went up one size in tire so calculated .6 plus. Also the miles showing remaining per tank is waaay off, usually by what would be a couple more gallons remaining.
I've used Cobb access port on several heavily modified Subaru STI's & WRX. My 992 Porsche GTS is only three years old though at some point I may consider doing the carb on that as well as I had great experience with it.
After much discouraging mpg since purchased new last August I am finally getting acceptable mileage. We drove from Oregon to British Columbia and at just over 4k miles I have gotten 21.2 since my last fill up in Washington. I can live with this. Up until recently I was getting worse mileage...
My TRD OR iForce max hybrid gets no better and often worse mpg's than my 5th gen with the antique, though reliable V6. I love the 6th gen but am beginning to question why the extreme disparities I. Member's gas mileage. I think I briefly hit 20 mpg's for a short distance following a reset...
The imax hybrid has 465 lb ft of torque and does the job head and shoulders over my 5th gen's V6. Think you'll be waiting a long long time. If it's that important you can purchase Lexus GX if you can live with 15mpg. I drove one and still chose the 4Runner.
“Naturally” having issues. My 6th gen force max walks all over my 5th antique V6. Maybe they’d go 300k miles but they were noisy and very thirsty dogs.
I 95% fixed the two front rattling windows from suggestions on this forum. Seat belt rattles on pillar but it does on my $175k Porsche as well. My ‘16 5th gen was lifted with big meats and never had a tick, rattle or vibration in 53k miles.
