This video was from a group ride on a local trail and has some footage of my 4Runner going down a washed out section of trail. I thought I'd share it for folks wanting to see a stock '25 4Runner ORP on a rough section of trail.

For anyone curious about this trail (Old Flowers in northern Colorado) that uses Trails Offroad, there's some more info here...
https://www.trailsoffroad.com/US/colorado/trails/403-old-flowers-road

The trail is rated as a 3 on Trails Offroad, but there are some tricky sections that could be rated higher. This trail changes a lot from weathering and vehicles spinning their tires in soft spots.

Was thinking of running this Sunday.
It's easiest to go west to east so you're going downhill on waypoint 12 (on Trails Offroad) - unless you're looking for more of a challenge! I did it going up in a Ram 1500 once, but the trail changes all the time. It's a great trail though.

Nice! What group is this?

Would like to do this easy trail to see the colors this weekend as well.

Cool video. Looks like stock ORP wheels. Stock tires too?
It looks like you were on the brake a lot on that downhill through the moguls - I wonder how the lowest setting of CRAWL would have handled it. (I've used crawl on somewhat similar terrain and its .... kinda cool and fun)

The group is the "Larimer County Four Wheel Drive Club" (https://mountaineers4x4.org/). I've been riding with them a little over a year now. The members have a mix of vehicles from stock 4x4s to dedicated trail buggies - and run all sorts of trails, from scenic rides to rock crawling. They have a once per month Sunday ride and then a lot of ad-hoc rides - collaborating in a monthly meeting (in Fort Collins), an email list, and a private Facebook group. If you're local and interested, just show up to one of the monthly third-Wednesday meetings and come along on the Sunday ride. I like to be involved with a group since there's a lot of trails that are not a great idea to ride solo - especially snow-wheeling in winter. I've run Old Flowers a bunch solo in various vehicles, but there is a possibility of picking a bad line and getting high centered in a couple spots. It's probably still beautiful up there right now with the leaves, but I imagine they're starting to fall now - which makes the trail more interesting with the aspen leaves on it.

Everything is stock still - even the tires. I'm going to see how they do this winter, but eventually I think I'm going to get KO3s, which I've run on my Jeep Wrangler TJ before, and I've been happy with for icy conditions and trail use. They're not as aggressive for trail use (as a M/T), but still do great on the freeway - so a good balance for my 4Runner use.

The video takes away from how deep those cuts were in the road, so keeping it slow is and carefully following a good line is a must. One of the crawl modes might have been helpful in this section. I had just helped spot the vehicle in front of me through the same section then quickly jumped in the 4Runner to run it myself and keep the line moving for the vehicles behind me. Since I had just spotted another vehicle, I had a long time to see the line I wanted to take. Lifted vehicles can roll through this section a lot easier of course.

Looks like a good trip, we're doing the "Fall Colors" run for 2 days at the Pa. Grand Canyon. Leaving tomorrow. I'm about a week early but we just had a 2 day cold snap so I'm hoping for the best.
