There are cleaning products you can apply then lightly rinse well and wipe it down. This can dress up all the plastics, etc. It's the way I do mine.

I just go down to the local self-serve coin car wash and use the spot free Mode which is a low pressure spritzing.

I've done that with my last three 4Runners. When I sold my third gen it had an almost new appearance in the engine bay. I regret selling that one. The 5th gen not so, this new 6th gen is a whole different Beast.

I am toying with the idea of getting a set of wheel well liners from Ark. I hear this keeps a lot of that dirt and debris out of the engine bay when running down a cow Trail.

I did the ARK spash guards. ARK provides no instructions. I had to watch the YouTube video in short segments. I was able to figure it out but it took some doing. I'm happy with the end result it's worth doing.
