Not sure about you guys but my dashboard screen gets really dusty and sometimes hard to see when the sun is shining just right. I kinda wish they didn’t have the clear plastic piece positioned in front of it, I don’t think it would get as much glare and dust. Anyone found a solution to minimizing the dust collection besides “routine cleaning”?

get a protech screen protector, that plastic over the MID screen scratches easily.

you can breathe wrong on it and it will scratch.

trust me, my 2014 limited took one microfiber cloth to it and it was scratched.

didnt take any chances on the 23 tundra and installed a protech screen protector. now i dont worry about wiping it down.

Just checked out their site. Unfortunately they don’t have the digital cluster for the 2025 listed. Just the 14” display.

they have them. I got one for both the 14" display and instrument gauge cluster.

these things do get dusty as hell. I keep one of these in mine within easy reach.

keep swiffer sheets in a cubby and dab at it with a swiffer
it'll take most of that straight off.

I bought the protech kit. Hopefully it comes with both screens. Thanks for the suggestions.

The kit you bought will have the film for both infotainment screen and the gauge cluster. I bought the Tacoma kit for my 2025 4 Runner TRD Pro not only does it have the film for the infotainment screen and gauge cluster it also has film for the climate control and shift area's.

My 4R is 8 months old now and the dash screen has never been that dirty. Just curious if you drive with the windows down a lot or if the Pollen filter is missing not not installed correctly allowing junk to come into the cabin?

Depends where you live. Here in Central Oregon I can drive 30 ft with all the windows up and the screen is dusty, I wipe it off daily. To be fair, had the same issue with my 22 Tacoma and every other car I’ve owned here.

The protech helps keep it from getting scratched at least as mentioned, and mine was dead easy to put on.

If the order hasn't shipped yet... maybe cancel it the Tacoma kit comes with a bunch of extra protection for your HVAC, Shifter and other things

it's a big surface area that creates static. It is normal to attract dust. If you drive with window open or have thing in the car that gives off micro fiber (ie: cloths, tissue, paper, cloths, pillow...ect), you will see dust everyday.

just have to keep cleaning it, and yes put a protector on it like everyone else said.

yeah if you drive with windows down on dirt or near dirt, that stuff accumulates quick.
air duster should be kept around. for minor dirt, a swiffer works great. use dabbing before
trying to swipe it to prevent scratches

There are anti-static sprays that may help. They are marketed for, among other things, welding helmets, face shields, and such. Or maybe one of the ceramic coatings. I used this oneTurtle Wax Hybid Solutions (perfect for my hybrid vehicle, right?) on my 4Runner (outside):

It is safe on glass and plastic, and has done a decent job even after several months shedding water. I do not know if it would help with dust though. I should try it myself, I get that dust as well--but as I have very large, furry dogs, I am used to dust (and furballs) everywhere!

The slant probably does not help, although it is good the shield is there--at least it is easy to clean.

It doesn’t on mine. But I detail my vehicle every other week. Inside and out.
