Changing up wheels and tires on Platinum 4Runner

New to the community and learning every day about these great machines.
Recently picked up a 2025 Platinum in red which is of course - the trim and color I didn’t know I wanted until I saw it.

Current wheels and gaps are driving me a bit crazy, so like many here I want to switch up my look.

Think the current 20s have to go. It’ll be a highway 4 season princess mostly, but we do get some snow up here in Canada on the weekends when we’re on our way to the kids’ sports tourneys

Think I’m set on Grappler G3, but can’t decide on 17 or 18 or even size for that matter. Want a more filled and aggressive look but still comfy for the family as a daily. Pics and suggestions and thoughts would be helpful for this newbie.

Congrats on your new ride. Just like you, last week I picked up a Limited and still deciding on switching to 18” wheels or keep the 20’s with a 265 or 275 tire.

If I were changing to after market wheels I'd be going 17" for sure. More options. and having more meat between you and the road isn't a bad thing.

i put 275/65 on my limited rims and like the result. I will put 17-18” rims on at some time in the future but I have other stuff I’m doing before new rims.

No, you'd be losing ride quality and mpg with zero benefit if you won't be offroading or carrying a ton of cargo.

I went with the Falken WildPeak 275 55 20 A/T 4. I like the look and performance so far. Just returned from a roadtrip from Texas to New Mexico, Utah and Colorado with a few off roads to get to trail heads for hiking. Removed front air dam & with these tires probably lost 2-3 mpg. Toyota did not properly load balance them but once corrected the ride and noise improved greatly.

If you keep the psi on 33-35 the ride really is not unpleasant. I love mine.

This is the exact Cooper tire I want to go with on my Limited. Do you have plenty of clearance with this size? Hard to tell in the picture.

I have only had them a few weeks but no rubbing and any driving I have done.

Grapplers don’t come in C load in size I want of 275/70/17. Seems I can either go down to 265 or go up to 285 and have to lift or trim.
Other option is the Toyos
