I can verify, their SL and they are flimsy. I still have mine in the shop, I'll bring one down from the top and do a video on how soft the sidewalls are when I get some time later this week.

I have a 2025 TRD Pro. Mine does not vibrate. My question is when did you get your Pro?

My 4Runner Pro is a June 2025 build.

I took mine in for a service appointment and complained about a vibration from 70+ mph getting worse up to 80 mph. Keep in mind that I have exactly 1,000 miles on my truck. I noticed that the yellow dot / circle on the sidewall was not aligned with my valve stem on all 4 tires.
The yellow dot, if present, indicates the tire's lightest point, and is often aligned with the valve stem.
They determined that all 4 wheels were fine and attempted to
rebalance all 4 tires. They discovered that both of my front tires were bad, and the technician was unable to properly road force balance them.

In conclusion they ordered me 2 more tires to replace the bad tires, and I have another appointment scheduled to have them installed. Maybe it was in my head but on the trip home I was able to get it up to 75 mph and 80 mph and seemed a little better, but I still felt some vibration. I hope these new tires are good and I do not have to go through this again.

The strange part of this encounter with the service was that he told me that the Toyo tires that come on this truck are not under warranty and that they are doing me a favor and taking the hit on the two new tires. He said they were on the phone with corporate and the tire manufacture trying to resolve this for me which I appreciate. He said if they sell and install tires at the Toyota service center that they would be covered under warranty. I left feeling very confused but didn't want to argue since they were trying to resolve this issue without costing many anything.
My logic going forward is that if I have any issues down the road these two new tires will be under warranty. Going by his logic since they are installing the new tires, how will they know which tires are the old ones and which are the new ones they purchased and installed if I were to have any problem again. Make this make sense.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I had almost the exact same experience with my local dealership, they changed the two tires on the back, because they didn’t road balance within limits, but there is still a slight vibration. They had a master tech drive a brand new Trailhunter and then had me drive him on the highway to replicate the issue. The tech admitted that there was a vibration on mine but called it “normal”.
I even showed him a POV YouTube video of someone driving the Pro at 77mph and steering with one finger - no vibration.
That’s when he shared that they weren’t going to change the other two tires because they wouldn’t be reimbursed.
I may just rotate the new tires to the front and see if that helps. I also found that running at 36psi and 38 psi (cold) did nothing to fully eliminate the vibration.

That said, my two new tires have the valve stems located on the red dot - not the yellow dot - is that incorrect?

Also trying to decide if I can live with the vibration or if I should bite the bullet and buy four new tires. Seriously annoying considering it’s an expensive brand new car.

Sounds like we are experiencing the same thing. I will post my results as soon as they mount these new tires. I asked him to measure the tread depth on the tires they received and he told me they too are 9.5 / 33nds. They ordered the same OEM tires that TOYO made for our trucks which is not good IMO but they choose or had to stay with exact factory specifications.
I could see if I choose another tire manufacturer to mount and even choose to “up size” them to say “Nitto 295/70R18“. If there was a slight vibration or the ride was rougher that would be on me and I would just have to deal with it. My plan is run these tire for as long as I can and then purchase something different with the direction of our forum members. It is such a a great source of information for us all.

A red dot on a tire sidewall indicates the tire's highest point in terms of radial force variation (RFV), also known as the "high point". This point is the stiffest part of the tire and is used during tire mounting and balancing to help minimize vibrations and ensure a smoother ride.

I have a new TrailHunter and have a slight vibration as well. Dealer said it was the EMU suspension that causes this but they did note the vibration. This is BS and I will be talking with the service mgr on Tuesday. During the test drive they also got a chip in my windshield so will be replacing that. Im not hopeful Toyota will do anything about the vibration. Any new tires people would recommend instead?

I've started a larger thread for people to report vibration issues. We're seeing it on varying trims along with varying tires installed (and already multiple attempts to fix). Evidence is mounting there may be something a bit more going on here...

If you have a vibration, please go in there and discuss what was done to eliminate it if you've found it.

Remember folks, if you are running heavy E rated tires they will need more PSI. To eliminate the wobble in the ones I used to have on my Tundra, I had to run 42 PSI cold. That said the Tundra is a heavier vehicle but thick side walls can cause all kinds of issues. Currently run C rated 275/70/17 tires on my 4runner and have no issues up to 80 mph. I got mine at Discount tire and an alignment at the Toyota Dealer.

thanks for the invite......never eliminated the vibration and it was too annoying so I sold my 4R a couple weeks ago. I previously owned a 4th and 5th gen 4R and I love the looks, tech and off-road ability of the 6th gen but ultimately for a $70k+ vehicle it was not worth it to me.
Fuel economy was the final straw.......after 2,000 miles I never got better than 16.5mpg vs sticker claim of 23mpg......that's way off.

Did you try putting on new tires to see if that helped? That is my next step. Asofr might, yeah, I am only getting 19.5. Something ain't right there, but certainly better than 14 with the 5th generation.

Yep.....the dealer changed two Toyo tires under warranty, which improved it but did not eliminate it. The dealer's master tech rode on the highway with me and admitted that it was still there but shared that they would consider it part of having offroad tires. Was contemplating changing out the other two tires at my own cost but thought it was crazy on a brand new car.
Good luck with solving it.

Took my TH into Discounttire to have them look at the tires. Was going to get them to roadforce balance, again, all 4 tires. The first tire we looked at had noticeable cupping on inside edge. Definitely not normal wear. Onto the next chapter to resolve this issue.
