I just had this issue of my android phone not connecting for the past 2 weeks, then I saw this post. I went to the Google Play Store and updated Android Auto app and just went to my 4R and it connected perfectly via Bluetooth. Hence, for me anyway, it wasn't a Toyota issue but an Android issue.

ISSUE RESOLVED - for me anyhow. I just came back from Discount Tire where I replaced the oem tires with Toyo OpenCountry AT3 (sl load) and got it up to 75 mph and had no vibration whatsoever. My issue is resolved and case closed...
