Did you ever get the brakes squared away? I ask because before I bought my 4runner, I had a 25 Tacoma that I lifted on Bilsteins. After the lift, my brakes became very very spongy. Part of me wondered if it was the heavier wheels and tires I added, but I honestly don't think that was the cause. I don't have the truck anymore but I'm curious if you found the issue.
I am still not sure if its just a change in the nose dive from the higher front end that's making me feel like something is different. It's not drastic enough for me to think something is really wrong, but I am definitely going to have the dealer look at my brakes "for no particular reason" next time I take it in... I'm also keeping a close eye on brake dust build up on the fronts to see if it increases.

Best way I can describe how they feel is when stopping, it starts kinda of normal, then about half way through the braking cycle it feels like its grabbing more and more quickly before coming to a complete stop. Like its not totally linear if that makes sense.

That makes sense. Mine felt like they didn't have the same "bite" as before and the pedal had a much spongier feel to it. The truck still stopped, but I was never comfortable with the brakes whatsoever. I questioned how the lift could have triggered these issues, but something definitely just wasn't right.

Yeah what likely happened is that the brake like got stretched during install and that introduced bubbles to the brake line. A bleed would probably fix it

Lift completed! Will provide detailed measurement comparison and resultant ground clearance numbers at some point but for now, here is a cluttered view of the take off parts.

Ride's great - but I can't tell much difference from stock. Could be I'm just not sensitive enough (I never though the stock TRD OR ride was bad, like many here do.) So far doesn't seem like much impact on MPGs - but I will be tracking and reporting details on that in the Hybrid milage thread.

More photos and number to come later....

FWIW, I am not noticing anything different about the braking from before the lift was installed.
OTOH, after driving for a few days I am now noticing some "smoothness" vs. the stock TRD OR suspension - especially when going over small speed bumps (e.g., in a parking garage) its less "acute", maybe "softer". My wife noticed a difference so it must be true:>)
