This is the truth. This isn't a problem specific to Toyota. The way paint is applied today is much different than how it used to be applied. It's much softer and prone to chipping.
If it were rainy, or my windshield was foggy that day I would have. They were ghosted in there. Only visible under those 2 conditions.
Luckily someone on here offered some solid advice and it took all of about 30 seconds to get it off using their method.
You're welcome. A funny story I'll add is that I owned a 2019 Colorado a few years ago. 308 hp V6. I threw on the coolest AFE exhaust. Cost me probably 800 bucks. Side dump, chrome....just beautiful. Sounded so bad that it wasn't even funny. I had plans to remove it and revert back to stock the...
There are some sound clips on youtube. It sounds horrible just like all of the other exhausts out there for these. Some people just want to put an exhaust on so badly, and fool themselves into thinking they sound good. It's not just limited to our trucks. Any 4 or 6cyl Truck or SUV sounds...
I have my driver and passenger side windows tinted, but not gonna do the windshield. A razor may have worked too, I didn't try that, but the water spot cleaner ended up taking it off in 30 seconds.
Thank you so much!! You saved me alot of headache. I actually had a similar product to what you recommended here that removes water spots. I never thought to try that for some reason. Worked like a charm. Mr cleaner magic eraser wouldn't take these off but the water spot cleaner did. Thanks again!!!
These number appear when the windshield is foggy or wet. I've tried goo gone, degreaser, alcohol. None of it has worked so far. Anyone have another method?
I had a 25 Tacoma. Lifted it, added wheels, etc. Owned it for around 16 mos. By upgrading it, I took alot of the daily driveability away from it. I decided to move in a different direction and picked up a 4runner.
Toyota's paint is extremely thin. If you look at it, it chips. Some colors worse than others. The 4th gen Tacoma I traded in for my 4runner had around 15k on it. Due to alot of highway driving, it had a fair amount of chips on the front end. Honda's paint is no different and maybe even worse. It...
I'm not a fan of the K03's because they balance poorly. Atw3's, and now Atw4's have been my go to. They handle great, balance easily, and don't have a lot of road noise. They haven't given me personally any reason to look elsewhere tire wise.
The fix is even easier than that. The door panel dosen't need to be removed. It's the triangle piece of plastic that's part of the side view mirror assembly.
Someone on one of the Tacoma forums posted a fix where you pop that off, add some foam strips and put it back together. Here's a...
That makes sense. Mine felt like they didn't have the same "bite" as before and the pedal had a much spongier feel to it. The truck still stopped, but I was never comfortable with the brakes whatsoever. I questioned how the lift could have triggered these issues, but something definitely just...
