This was one feature I really wanted and the dealer was asking $1,000 for an aftermarket installation. Besides the ridiculous price, the installer placed a rocker switch on the seat bottoms facing the doors. If I were to go this route, I wanted the switches in the center console.

Long story short, I came across a company call Clazzio. They sell a kit that comes with 22mm square switches. I believe this is same size switches for both the dash and center console.

Anyone have experience installing heated seats? I searched for both 6th gen 4Rs and 4th gen Tacos with no luck. Wondering how hard is it DIY? How do I wire it into the truck? I'm very handy but also do not want to damage my truck.

I'd shop around. Give your local car stereo / tint shop a call and see if they install them. I had mine done for $600 using the round rocker switch in the link you provided in the center console. The $600 was through the dealer which had a local custom shop do it. Had I know that the dealer would hire out I would have just gone straight to them and avoid the dealership taking a cut.

It probably isn't terribly complicated to install yourself but I wasn't going to start my learning process with something like this on my brand new vehicle. Also, it was worth my time to have someone with experience do it.

And not to be confused with the buttons where the rear locker and camera buttons go on other trims - this is what I meant by center console.

I just installed the Clazzio heated seats in my 2025 SR5. The install is not bad at all. The wiring is what took me the longest. These work great. The switches fit right in the console.

That's not bad looking at all. I want to be able to see if they are on in case my son forgets to turn his off :). I think IF I were to do this, I would go with the kit in the link above. I like the idea of factory looking switches. Thanks for sharing.
