I live in the the Pacific Northwest, and I am considering an SR5 4WD.

So my question is for all the SR5 owners out here: is a negotiated sales price of $41,816 a decent deal?

Completely new to the 4Runner world. Please enlighten

Edit: MSRP is $45,453 so it's an 8% discount

Post the MSRP or sticker price so we can figure out what % off MSRP your deal is

Edit: ps what dealership? I'm up in WA but bought my 4R in McMinnville. The dealership there is great. Would recommend 10/10.

That seems like a good deal but, as others questioned, what are the hidden cost. Dealer fees, unneeded options, etc.

I got mine in March 2015 and had to pay msrp. $445xx.

No weird additional hidden fees I suppose, but there are floor mats & cargo tray accessories

sounds like a good deal as long as it doesn't include any add-ons. Just tax, title/license and a reasonable doc fee.

$45k is basically the stripped down price for an SR5 4WD with processing etc added in. 8% off that number is a good deal as long as you are able to hold the line out the door.

once you get your foot in the door with a 4R, you will know what you want in your next 4R :)

my first was a 1998 4R highlander edition (used), 2nd was a 2004 v8 4R sport (new dealer xfer), then 3rd was 2014 4R limited (new ordered), and now 4th is a 2025 platinum (just a fancy limited with FT4WD, new ordered)

after the 2004 (the 2004 had ft4wd) , i needed to have ft4wd for the ND winters, it was just easier to have it all the time than switching it in/out of 4wd around town ( i dont off road/hunt)

the 2004 made me realize i need to have ft4wd as the 1st priority i need in a 4R above all else.

Very nice! Looks like a sweet progression throughout your 4R journey.

The mistake I made was getting a gr corolla instead of the 4R back in 2023, but I guess things may work out with the 6th gen being my first (i liked it more than the 5th gen when i test drove them back to back)

yeah i could never have another normal vehicle again living in ND. dont own any non essential motorized toys. i did have a few sedans over the years and in between the 4R's, they just didnt cut it for long term use during our long winters up here. winters can start as early as october and last up until april (we had a nice freak storm in april 2022 where it dumped 33 inches, i have a nice time lapse video over the course of 3 days from the front garage security cams)
