2027 4Runner Order Guide out yet?

I understand 2027 orders start 9/1. Any intel on the order guide and potential changes?

when ever toyota gets around to updating the website.

i mean they just recently updated the 27 tundra and sequoia with info and havent even posted the details yet

and those released back a month ago and the MY change over was in june-2026 for production to start in july/august

edit : forgot to add, MY starts for tundra in october whereas the 4runner was shifted to jan from when the previous gens where october 1st gen thru 5th gen

You mean WHAT CHANGES correct? Because we can't just walk into the dealership and order what we want. It doesn't happen like that.

I don't think any much changes at all will be implement since I know well how the Japanese works with supply chains and recovery the initial RD investment. In fact don't be surprised with the ''DOWN GRADED" neither with all these natural disasters, tariffs and so on.

Here is one case example. I have 2025 Trail Hunter. The gas tank skid plate was steel. But there had been case of 2026 Toyota PIO decided to use COMPOSITE material gas tank skid plate like the Toyota Tacoma. Little things like this people won't notice it at all.

technically you can but 99% of dealers wont let you see the screen to do it or even interact with it.

No you can not. It is all allocation to regions and dealers are making trade around. You can’t just walk in and order what ever you want. It would be beyond madness especially comes down to American consumer’s attitude and taste. They can’t just modify the assembly line for 100 different demands from 100 different consumers. I was at the plant where they build the 4Runners 6 months ago

There are PIO and DIO. Those are may be acceptable. You can not just place an order with the factory parts on your car period. It doesn’t work that way. Go ahead and google/AI and see if they tell you differently.

Otherwise you would see TRD trim with Trail Hunter and or TRD PROs manufacture parts. Welcome to madness.

the allocation reserve request screen dynamically changes depending on the model and trim. some boxes cannot be selected or it throws up and error to uncheck the option per the trim requirements.

trust me, i've been thru this process with multiple different models (2004 4runner, 2012 tacoma, 2014 4runner, 2016 tacoma, 2018 tundra, 2023 tundra, 2025 4runner and now 2026 4runner)

its there, you just have to have a dealer be transparent enough to let you see the screens

Without commenting on what TMNA allows currently, this is a bad take considering plenty of oems let you do just that

yeah its a trade off, infinite custom configurations or targeted amount of configs.

toyota and most other asian oem's limit your options to keep things simple

usa oem you have so many different systems interacting with each other, no wonder there is so many issues with software/hardware just going kaput.

dont get me wrong, toyota has its software/hardware conflicts but not to the same degree as usa oem vehicles.

thats just my take away from what i have seen.
