Toyota is still holding 25's. They aren't going to start advertising the next model year until that inventory situation improves. Same with any manufacturer.

So only way to "order" is direct with dealer and they cant tell you options or colors? Seems slightly odd.

Possibly. It's unlikely the dealers even have much information yet. Allocations to dealers are probably based on sales of 25 year models, so unless they're a volume dealer for 4R, they probably aren't going to get advance information or allocations.

Truth be told, I doubt anything has changed besides *maybe* color.

Yeah whatever changes there are will probably be tiny. I would assume a color will get dropped and Mudbath moved down from Pro.

I will say this now in advance, this will really tan my hide if they make the rear seat flatter and more foldable for the non-hybrid versions. I have the 25 version, and if they do that then everybody I know will say we told you so! Never buy first year model.!

due to assembly, RORO transport (this can take from 2-3 weeks to arrive at portland/GST to 4-5 weeks to arrive at newark/jaxport for SET), PIO processing 1-2 weeks, then rail transport 1-2 weeks, then truck transport 1-2 weeks.

with all the time you need to start the process listed above for them to arrive by the beginning the the MY (which has now shifted to January instead of the traditional October time frame).

there will be no changes within year 1-2 for a new gen no matter the model. you wont see any minor changes until year 3 of a new gen. mid cycle refresh is probably the only time any significant changes will happen and you will not see any of the 3 major items changing (trans, engine, frame)

and a change to the floor plan would require a change to the frame which wont happen

look at the new sequoia, that floor plan just plan sucks and they wont change it and its been 3-4 yrs into the current gen

trd pro colors usuall stay exclusive for 2 yrs (rarely 3 yrs) and are usually dropped for another exclusive trd pro color and repeat.

i have seen trd pro exclusive colors get dropped from the trd pro and put into general trims. rare exception has been the solar octane, it stayed as a trd pro color for 2 years, then 3rd year they dropped it completely from the tundra lineup

Yeah I'm guessing the same, and a plan is starting to percolate to just remove the 60% side and make a floor pan that will fit just that configuration. That should be adequate space with my storage containers for a weekend camp.

They rolled it down to the lower trims in 24, I almost bought one. They were rare AF.

I bet you're right about them carrying mudbath another year on the Pros like they did SO on the 22 and 23s.
