14inch Display from Tacoma on a 4Runner

Has somebody thought of swapping out the the 8inch display to the 14inch display that comes with the Tacoma without the JBL system ?
Technically they should work since both Tacomas and 4Runners share the same platform

Okay, I just checked those I don’t think they tried what I previously mentioned, here’s the thing, the reason why we can’t just put another display from another 4Runner, the same way it happens with most Tacoma, is that the audio won’t work unless you have the JBL system installed onto you car, in the case of the 4Runner that’ll always be the case since you need a Premium trim which already comes with both the 14inch screen and JBL system, now with the Tacomas is different because there’s versions of TRD Sport or TRD Off-Road that came with the add-on of just the 14inch screen but without the JBL system, in fact a buddy of mine precisely has the same spec from one, technically you should be able to just plug in and play and it should work just fine.
Now after an obsessive research last night I encountered that finding a wrecked Tacoma with that exact 14in screen is not really that hard on Copart or Autobidfinder, the hard thing is to get them to sell it to you, I saw some on ebay but they’re the ones that need that JBL system.
The way to difference them is simple:
Non-JBL system: 86100-AK010
JBL system: 86100-AK030
Those are for the Tacomas on Toyota’s website, when I started researching yesterday I also realized that there’s a non JBL version from Toyota marked for the 4Runner but the price is stupidly ridiculous and outrageous being over $10k MSRP for just a head unit.

I'd 100% go aftermarket on this, but I want to add amps/subs/etc. and the factory stereos are just awful to integrate. Especially the JBL.
