Have not had enough opportunities to play with OnX on my Pro’s screen to this point so this thread has me interested in one of the frustrations. I am currently about 1,000 miles away from my vehicle otherwise I would be out there in my driveway trying to help solve OP’s dilemma!

Also, I must agree with you on this: " There are more than a few newest gen Tacoma and 4Runner owners out there using OnX. OnX may have already dealt with this issue and could have a solution for you."
I've been meaning to bug them and describe the issue but just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this thread will trigger the OP or someone (maybe even me) to do that:>) Or maybe someone from onX is a member here and will realize their App is getting some negative attention....

I love OnX. Too bad we are starting to see glitches.

I guess it forces us to rely more on the tiny phone screen and downloaded maps than that big 14” screen that I love in my 6th gen.

When I was in New Mexico and had OnX running on AA when I got close to something and the cameras automatically kicked on, getting OnX to load right after that was very hit or miss. Mostly miss. I even had the entire regions maps downloaded with the highest detail available.

I understand that this thread is specifically discussing OnX but I have been experiencing a similar issue to the OP using Waze in our Outback Wilderness, JLRU, and two separate rental cars using CarPlay. The only way I could resolve it was to kill Waze and restart.
