Yes, exactly. You aren't going to find Pros just sitting around on a lot.At some point I'll probably pick a dealer that I like and pay top dollar for one that could show up in weeks or months (or just go with a different brand).
No, but it sure would be nice to drive one since the suspension is different than every other model before buying. I was hoping to have the dealer set the shocks to the softest setting before a test drive. I assumed that sooner or later the 'hold' would be lifted so they might actually be 'just sitting around'. If I wanted a Tacoma Pro I can find one at least one at every dealer within 100 miles of me. I know it's not the same but I would rather decide BEFORE I buy if I like a vehicle than live with what I bought.Yes, exactly. You aren't going to find Pros just sitting around on a lot.
Yeah, the Tacomas will sit for a while because no one likes those ridiculous seats. But I get what you're saying now. I've driven a TH, and that suspension was much better what comes on the ORs. Not sure how the Pro will differ from that, but the fact that the dampers are adjustable gives some flexibility. There's always the aftermarket if you're unsatisfied though. No, but it sure would be nice to drive one since the suspension is different than every other model before buying. So the toyota dealer should hold onto a vehicle that has a waiting list, and often sells for over msrp, so you can hem and haw over it? What kind of business sense does that make? No, but it sure would be nice to drive one since the suspension is different than every other model before buying. It's not a dealer problem, it's a Toyota problem. If Toyota can't get it's act together then they will loss a lifetime customer. When 90% of them are on 'hold' clearly they need to solve the problem. All I said was that it doesn't matter what the new color is when they are struggling to actually get them to dealer's lots to sell. I don't fault the dealers one bit as I'm sure they would love to have the ability to sell more than they currently are as well as sell top of the line (with more profit) vs base models. So the toyota dealer should hold onto a vehicle that has a waiting list, and often sells for over msrp, so you can hem and haw over it? Comparing that color to a Tonka truck is offensive to Tonka trucks.i am just waiting for the tonka truck ref for the tundra/taco to start since that is about the closet a truck color has come to be yellow.

But the exclusivity of Pro models is what sells them all. If they made more they would sit on lots. Toyota doesnt want that. As you can see they made that mistake on the tacoma and now you can get discounts on them. It's not a dealer problem, it's a Toyota problem.
