I’ve put over 20,000 miles since the TSB fix and haven’t had any issues. I did have to wait for parts to arrive and within a week, the dealer called me.I was at my dealer for the 15K service this past week (July 2026) and was told the parts are on a "stop order" from Toyota because the TSB fix was not fixing the issue. I explained to him that I've been waiting patiently for almost a year and there is still no resolution. He shrugged it off and said it was not a safety issue. I explained that I paid over $60K for the most expensive vehicle I've ever bought, and this is the first one that has squealing brakes when I back up.
My dealer is terrible anyhow, but I'm really disappointed in how Toyota has handled this issue. I've been a Toyota owner for decades, and while I love my T4R, this issue is frustrating.
First time around, my dealer put in the wrong parts and made the howling worse.
